2008 Bowl For Kids' Sake

What is Bowl For Kids’ Sake?
Bowl for Kids’ Sake is about having FUN to help kids. This signature fundraiser with a 2008 goal of $50,000 will provide fifteen percent of this organization’s operating revenue. Bowl For Kids’ Sake is a local fundraiser so 100% of the money raised by our bowlers stays in Lafayette to benefit the children of this community.
How does Bowl For Kids’ Sake Work?
Team captains gather friends, family members, and co-workers to form a 5 member bowling team willing to volunteer their time for Bowl For Kids’ Sake. Each volunteer is provided with the necessary instructions, handouts, and collection envelopes to accept donations for Big Brothers Big Sisters. The team selects a Bowl For Kids’ Sake time slot on March 1st or 2nd to turn in the donations to Big Brothers Big Sisters and enjoy a bowling celebration!
Are there prizes?
Yes! Every bowler will receive a Bowl For Kids’ Sake T-shirt. There are many incentive prizes for individual bowlers to win.

This year’s theme, In the Wild West, was selected to add to the fun by encouraging everyone to join our bowlin’ shindig in western attire! The prize patrol will also be out during each session awarding bowlers prizes for catching the spirit!

- Allow the Bigs in School Program to expand into more Lafayette Schools
- Maintain the screening and training of volunteers
- Make professional match supervision possible
- Enhance volunteer recruitment campaigns to find a “Big” for every waiting child
- Support group activities for unmatched children
- Aid in the inception of new programs to better serve children and volunteers
